This course aims to:
- Provide practical ways to balance the demands of management tasks, the process of getting work done, and the needs of your team members
- Reflect on the type of leader you want to be

By the end of the course participants will have had opportunities to:
- Distinguish between task, process and people issues and understand the skills involved in managing each
- Understand how their preferred management styles influence their team's working climate
- Learn creative thinking techniques for generating many ideas in a short time
- Practise the coaching and feedback skills needed for developing people's potential
