The course enables you to spend time thinking about how to look after yourself at work both mentally and physically. It offers a combination of practical yoga based exercises, time out to explore ways of managing personal and professional boundaries, and ideas for stress and time management.

11.30 Session Two: Introduction to Iyengar Yoga
Brief introduction, health check etc
Approx 60 minutes of yoga with invigorating stretches and relaxation.

1.45 Session Three: Boundaries
5 minute stretch to re-focus the mind
Feed back from session one
What do we mean by ‘boundaries’? Where are my own personal and professional boundaries? Saying “No”.

Simple exercises and sequences for work and home

NB Please make sure that you wear suitable clothing for the yoga. Any tight or constrictive clothing will feel very uncomfortable and prevent you from doing the poses properly. Leggings, tracksuit bottoms or shorts with t.shirts and sweatshirts are all ideal. Bear in mind you may get quite warm and then cool down afterwards, so please dress appropriately.

Bare feet are recommended during the yoga.

It is essential that you run through the checklist we provide to inform us of any health issues, even if you think they may not be relevant. If in doubt, please tell us anyway.
