Aims:

  • To raise awareness of the effects of use and withdrawal from benzodiazepines,
  • To promote an awareness of the range of resources, materials and services available for workers and service users relating to benzodiazepines
   
Objectives:

Participants will have opportunities to:

  • learn about the effects of benzodiazepines and other drugs with similar effects.
  • find out how to recognise effects and problems.
  • work out ways in which issues can be addressed
  • consider a range of practical ideas which could lead towards organisational action plans.
  • discuss the ways that teams could use Battle Against Tranquillisers in their work with people who take these drugs
