| People with personality disorders are often dismissed as ‘difficult’ clients. This course introduces ideas to promote understanding of the needs of this treatment group. Exploring issues in assessment and diagnosis, the course goes on to examine defence mechanisms and patterns of behaviour. Participants are introduced to treatment interventions that have proved effective in addressing these problems. |
