On offer there will be: ice breakers and energisers; activities to explore group and team dynamics, leadership styles, problem solving strategies; active ways of presenting theories and models; active evaluation methods to help highlight learning, gauge the group mood and assist in apply learning elsewhere.

Course Outline

Aim:

To increase participants' repertoire of training tools, and build confidence in using them appropriately

By the end of the course participants will have had opportunities to:

    • Experience a range of activities to add to their “tool kit” for training
    • Explore how these activities can be used in different settings, and how they can be adapted for different learning objectives
    • Discover top tips to run activities successfully and to encourage all to take part
    • Develop their knowledge and confidence of new ideas and activities to use in their work
    • Be part of a creative, lively, interactive and fun learning environment

"Thank you Ruth for a really good day yesterday. It was both skillfully facilitated, informative and your flexible skills were really appreciated. I have since had team members saying what an impression it had on them individually and professionally. As we speak a member of the team is trying out new techniques!"

David Miles, Training and Staff Development Manager - Adults, Bristol City Council Adult Community Care Training Section
