What people say

"I learnt a lot. Phil is a fountain of knowledge. I found the specific exercises discussed in the last hour or so really helpful, I will be using these going forward in my day to day practice and will share these techniques with colleagues. Regular breaks were good. The whole session was a good mix of breakout rooms, discussions, slide show and interaction."

Criminal Justice Psychology Led Practitioner, GDAS, November 2023

"The course was very insightful, the practical interventions based knowledge was hugely useful and I will be implementing this where needed. Fabulous as per, thanks Phil, your wealth of knowledge is invaluable and I feel much more equipped & knowledgeable as a result of all the trainings I've been on that you have facilitated."

Course participant, February 2025

"Enjoyed the content and delivery. I learnt more about mental health and substances today than I have from many training sessions combined, so thank you! I now have lots of useful tips and strategies that I will be able to use effectively with individuals. I look forward to trying some of these out. These are useful for the people we work with and for ourselves as well as family and friends."

Course participant, November 2024

"Overview of dual diagnosis, better understanding of mental illnesses and their correlation with substances. Interesting information on the human brain that helped to better understand cause and effect of mental illness and substance use and how is viewed in society. Particularly liked the information on the 'focal condition' and useful questioning to help explore this with individuals."
