Supporting continuous learning in the NHS

The NHS England Safe Learning Environment Charter

sets out the supportive learning environment required for continuous learning, to allow learners to become well-rounded professionals with the right skills and knowledge to provide safe and compassionate care of the highest quality across the NHS. It is underpinned by principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion and patient safety.

NHS England Safe Learning Environment Charter (SLEC) has 10 priorities, that underpin the culture of our learning environments:

The Training Exchange continues to deliver training for NHS colleagues. In the past 3 years this has included:
